Do you handle real estate transactions outside of the Charleston area?

Yes, we handle real estate transactions throughout the State of South Carolina. We can also work in other jurisdictions.

Yes, we represent both buyers and sellers in real estate transactions separately and simultaneously.

No, we do not handle eviction proceedings.

I am purchasing a home in South Carolina. Am I required to have an attorney represent me?

Yes, South Carolina is an “attorney closing” state.  A SC licensed attorney is needed to properly close a real estate transaction in SC.  Because of that legal requirement, SC attorneys generally act as closing agents and title agents with title companies only playing a supporting role.  Although we coordinate with third party attorneys when the situation requires it, the most cost effective and efficient way to close a transaction in SC is to work directly with a SC attorney.
